Supergold Jewellers

About Us

Super Gold knows it origin to an enterprising 16 year old lad by the name of Alfred Ciantar, who way back in 1964, believed so much in his capabilities as to set up a filigree workshop initially with four workers in the basement of his residence in Valletta.

It only took a few years for this enterprising lad to establish himself in this field, thereby necessitating the migration to a filigree factory namely to Ta Qali Crafts Village. The success achieved did not only necessitate bigger premises, but also a workforce of 25 people was now called for to meet expected supplies and deliveries now being purchased by several outlets throughout Malta.

Alfred Ciantar established himself not solely in the production of jewellery, but was also sought to participate in all sorts of activities appertaining to this sector. He was repeatedly called in to evaluate students in their years of apprenticeship at the Targa Gap School in Mosta, an arts and crafts government school.

His four children were of immeasurable assistance as the company progressed to expand by way of launching four more outlets around the island and as a natural progression the company also diversified into retail.

Diversification and specialisation also became the order of the day hence resulting in the Ta Qali Crafts Village outlet being upgraded and specialising in filigree work and jewellery, the Bugibba outlet being dedicated to all sorts of jewellery, the Wied iz-Zurrieq - Blue Grotto outlet, to compliment their location, dedicating themselves and focusing on sea shells and stones.

Super Gold Enterprises Limited has now become synonymous with fine quality and high standard items and has established itself as a leader in this field.
